NMIC Celebrates 30 Years of Service to the Community
NMIC's 30th Anniversary Community Celebration was a great success!
Many neighborhood residents, local businesses, nonprofits and elected officials turned out to enjoy the delicious food, valuable information, extraordinary entertainment, and lots of fun children's activities.
Council members Jackson, Rodriguez, and Borough President Scott Stringer all presented NMIC with a proclamation lauding the agency's accomplishments over the past three decades. Assemblyman Adriano Espaillat recognized all that has been achieved and reminded the crowd that hard work is needed to ensure that upper Manhattan continues to have access to quality housing, employment, and education.
NMIC Board Member Arnold Weinstein was proud to read a letter sent by Mayor Michael Bloomberg applauding NMIC for making a real difference in the Washington Heights/Inwood community.
A good day was had by all!
