The co-founders of the New York Latinas Against Domestic Violence (Maria Lizardo, NMIC, Grace Perez and Mireya Cruz, Dominican Women's Development Center) were presented with a proclamation at City Hall for their work during the past ten years in organizing the Annual Gladys Ricart and Victims of Domestic Violence Memorial Walk (Brides' March). The proclamation was presented by Council Speaker Quinn and Council Member Mark-Viverito.
