NMIC is excited to announce the expansion of our housing legal services in collaboration with the administration of Mayor Bill de Blasio to supplement the housing legal services we provide to our communities and to expand those essential services with our first permanent Bronx office.

NMIC Attorney Successfully Represents Client in Eviction Proceeding

Staff Attorney Shantonu Basu assisted a long-term tenant retain her apartment when the tenant was threatened with eviction for having too many nonpayment cases despite having withheld her rent for repairs. The case was published in the New York Law Journal.
