In addition to 45 new computers, IBM has granted NMIC two

The Environmental Protection Agency (“EPA”)
awarded a 2006 Environmental Quality Award today to the
Northern Manhattan Improvement Corporation (“NMIC”)
for its Lead Safe House. The award ceremony took place at
the EPA’s New York office at 290 Broadway in Lower
Manhattan.

BUY THEIR OWN HOMES AFTER YEARS OF NEGLIGENT LANDLORDS
After years of suffering irresponsible landlords and hundreds
of housing code violations, tenants at 652 – 656 West
160th Street and 21 Fort Washington Avenue purchased their
building through the Third Party Transfer program on September
28th. Now under control of the tenants, both buildings will
undergo a moderate rehabilitation.
