Children from NMIC's Family Learning attend Mets game, thanks to UNH
On Thursday, June 23rd, 17 children from NMIC's Family Learning program attended the Mets-A's game, courtesy of United Neighborhood House (UNH) of New York and the Mets. For many of the children, the day's trip to Citifield marked their first baseball game. The group toured the stadium and learned about the life of Jackie Robinson. In additon, each participant received the following Mets' items: a t-shirt, book bag, baseball cap, notebook, as well as $15 Mets money cards. Everyone had a wonderful time! NMIC would like to thank UNH and the Mets for making this event possible.
