NMIC is awarded a three-year $210,000 grant from the Nutrition Consortium of NYS to fight hunger in Upper Manhattan.
NMIC is pleased to have been selected to lead a food stamp outreach, education and enrollment project in Washington Heights, Inwood, and West and East Harlem. Through this program NMIC will target populations who are significantly underserved in the food stamp program. We will particularly focus on reaching Hispanic elderly/disabled, undocumented immigrants with children who are U. S. citizens, as well as immigrants with permanent residency under five years duration.
