Save NY's Human Services

Who Cares? I Do!

The Human Services Council, which represents literally hundreds of non-profit human service organizations in New York City, is spearheading a public awareness campaign called "Who Cares? I Do!" to show the value of programs serving vulnerable New Yorkers. To participate in this campaign, simply sign the petition. You can sign as an individual and as an organization (we recommend doing both!)

To date, more than 1,000 New Yorkers have signed this petition calling on the State to protect core human service funding in the upcoming budget negotiations. We are hearing that the Governor and the State legislature are intending to come to a budget agreement sometime in early to mid-April, so it is important to sign the petition as soon as possible.

Rally

The Who Cares? I Do! Campaign will be holding a rally in support of human services on April 12th at 5pm at City Hall. It is vital that we demonstrate that New Yorkers care about human services, so please attend and spread the word about the rally.
