Meet Agueda

After arriving in the country, Agueda quickly realized that learning English would open doors for her. She now takes online ESOL classes with us three evenings a week. Despite the stress of her work as a home health aide amid the COVID-19 pandemic, she is a class favorite. According to her teacher, “Agueda always shows up! She participates, asks questions, and helps fellow students. Even though Agueda has never met them, returning students have embraced having her in our class. I’m thankful when I see her log on because she’s fun and so helpful to other students!”
