NMIC combats the systemic lack of healthcare access and health information in the low-income immigrant community with robust activities to provide health education wherever possible. With better knowledge, clients can more easily identify health programs, access treatment, and live healthier lives.
What We Do:
- Perform outreach at community fairs and events
- Promote access to food initiatives
- Targeted distribution of materials and with information regarding healthy practices and available resources
- Include sessions on health information in all educational programs
Who We Do it For:
Health education services are provided to all NYC residents.
How to Sign Up:
Clients may attend community events where NMIC is offering health information and outreach.
Note: NMIC staff are focusing their efforts on virtual events, which typically can be found via NMIC social media pages.
