Planning Ahead
Our monthly giving program is the easiest way to provide steady support for the ongoing work of NMIC. When we receive reliable monthly donations, we can plan and develop our wrap-around services that directly benefit the lives of 14,000 annually and impact 32,000.

About Us

We were founded in an apartment in 1979 as a legal services organization that offered free legal assistance to recent immigrants primarily from the Dominican Republic. In the four decades that have passed, we have grown from a staff of six to a staff of over 120, expanded to the Bronx, and now provide a wide array of services and programs in the areas of housing, immigration, benefits & finance, health, education & career, and holistic services. Our mission is to serve as a catalyst for positive change in the lives of the 14,000 we serve annually on their paths toward secure and prosperous futures.
