YouthBuild

YouthBuild is a paid vocational training and GED program for NYC young adults. YouthBuild works in partnership with The Department of Education's (DOE) - Pathways to Graduation (P2G) to help participants earn their High School diploma, access to the DOE's career and college programs, and receive other wrap-around services.

Participants will also participate in employment readiness workshops and work towards certifications in Microsoft Office. Job placement assistance is available.

Candidates can earn up to a $500 monthly stipend based on attendance, as well as additional incentives for completing certifications, obtaining a high school equivalency diploma and more.

What We Do:
  • Education (High School Equivalency).

  • Trainings on Small business ownership and digital literacy.

  • Job readiness training, including resume and interview support, job search techniques.

  • Professional skills training in areas including conflict resolution, leadership, and timeliness.

  • Career development, including job placement and ongoing job retention and advancement services.

Who We Do it For:

New York City residents

  • Between the ages of 17 and 24
  • Without a high school diploma/equivalency
  • Not currently in school 
  • Able to commit to 5 months of full-time in-person training and instruction: Monday-Thursday 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM, Friday 9:00 AM – 12:30 PM
