YouthBuild
YouthBuild is a paid vocational training and GED program for NYC young adults. YouthBuild works in partnership with The Department of Education's (DOE) - Pathways to Graduation (P2G) to help participants earn their High School diploma, access to the DOE's career and college programs, and receive other wrap-around services.
Participants will also participate in employment readiness workshops and work towards certifications in Microsoft Office. Job placement assistance is available.
Candidates can earn up to a $500 monthly stipend based on attendance, as well as additional incentives for completing certifications, obtaining a high school equivalency diploma and more.
What We Do:
Education (High School Equivalency).
Trainings on Small business ownership and digital literacy.
Job readiness training, including resume and interview support, job search techniques.
Professional skills training in areas including conflict resolution, leadership, and timeliness.
Career development, including job placement and ongoing job retention and advancement services.
Who We Do it For:
New York City residents
- Between the ages of 17 and 24
- Without a high school diploma/equivalency
- Not currently in school
- Able to commit to 5 months of full-time in-person training and instruction: Monday-Thursday 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM, Friday 9:00 AM – 12:30 PM
