YouthBuild

YouthBuild is a paid vocational training and GED program for NYC young adults. YouthBuild works with The Department of Education's (DOE) - Pathways to Graduation (P2G), the SUNY Attain Labs, and PerScholas to help participants earn their High School Diploma and begin their journey to employment in business or technology.

Participants will also participate in morning academic classes and afternoon workshops on employment readiness, careers pathways, and certifications in Microsoft Office or IT.

Candidates earn up to a $500 monthly stipend based on attendance, and will receive job placement assistance or placement in a technical training program once they obtain a high school equivalency diploma.

What We Do:
  • Education (High School Equivalency).

  • Job readiness training, including resume, interview support, and job search techniques. 

  • Professional skills training in areas including conflict resolution, leadership, and timeliness. 
  • Career exploration workshops in careers in tech, business, and more. 
  • Career development, including job placement and technical training programs. 
Who We Do it For:

New York City residents

  • Between the ages of 17 and 24
  • Without a high school diploma/equivalency
  • Not currently in school 
  • Able to commit to 5 months of full-time in-person training and instruction: Monday-Thursday 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM, Friday 9:00 AM – 12:30 PM
